Hello! I am a sophomore at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. I graduated from Cape Coral High School in 2013 as the valedictorian with an IB Diploma. My specialty areas are SAT and ACT prep. I scored a composite 2150 on the SAT with scores of 730-Writing, 720-Reading, 700-Math and a 32 composite for the ACT: 36-Reading, 34-Math, 32-English, 28-Science. I am also fairly competent in high school mathematics and English. Math can range from basic algebra to calculus 3 and statistics. Also, I am well versed to tutor in chemistry and biology. I tutored algebra to middle school students at Diplomat Middle School for several years, as well as my own brother, so I've developed patience and have learned effective teaching methods.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

I took Algebra 1 my last year of middle school. For two years after, I would volunteer at my old school and tutor eighth graders in algebra.

Geometry

I took Geometry my freshman year of high school, and was a member of the Geometry Team. We would conduct after-school meetings to learn advanced geometry concepts, and then compete at math competitions all over the state of Florida. We placed as a team several times.

SAT Math

I remember taking the SAT for the first time and scoring a 540 in all three of my subjects. However, with some studying and preparation I was able to bring my scores up to 700 in math, 720 in reading, and 730 in writing, with a 10 essay score, for a composite score of 2150. If I can do it, so can you!

SAT Writing

The SAT Writing is my highest section, with a 730 score and 10 essay. I teach students the tricks needed to tackle this section as well as the common questions that are asked, in order for them to get their highest score possible.
