Hello, everybody! My name is Elizaveta. I graduated from Amur State Pedagogical University with a degree in Philology in 2008, and have an additional qualification in Russian as a Foreign Language. Since 2008 I devoted myself to teaching English and Russian languages.
I immigrated to the USA in 2009.
I've worked as an English-Russian and Russian-English translator for a few US magazines, including Socialite Magazine in Miami, and in Russian-American Business Magazine. Furthermore, I've been giving private Russian lessons for 5 years to students at a range of levels and with very different requirements.
I travel a lot and have many foreign friends so I know how is it to feel confident when you speak a foreign language. I love reading books and watching films in English, so I know how rewarding and exciting it is to embrace a foreign language. And we can only learn how to speak, read, listen and write a language when we are using it! So I always involve students in all these activities with an emphasis on speaking and understanding. By creating a positive, relaxed and engaging learning environment, I encourage my students to overcome their psychological barrier and talk freely during the class.
