If you would like to improve your computer skills, I can help!
My Background:
I am a user-friendly tech that likes teaching others how-to better use their software. I use my 25+-years of professional experience to make difficult topics easy to understand and show others how-to better utilize their software.
My teaching style is easy going and I encourage asking questions. I adapt the content to the level of the audience – new user, self-taught, intermediate, advanced, or a combination of each.
I have an extensive graphic arts and software background. For more than 20-years, I have been doing graphics work for advertising agencies, printers, speakers, sales people, large format printers, on-demand printers, small businesses, and seminar companies.
I have been a technical software trainer for the past 13-years, teaching more than 65,000 adults in more than 1,800 seminars throughout the US and Canada for Rockhurst University, National Seminars, and my own company. The seminar size can vary from one user to hundreds.
Software Background:
For my work, I use a variety of PC Windows graphic arts software.
To create and modify presentations I use Microsoft PowerPoint. I use Adobe Photoshop to create and improve images for screen use, the web, and printing. I create e-learning material with Techsmith Camtasia, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe InDesign. To create web pages, I use WordPress, html editors and Google’s Blogger. For print, I use Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress, CorelDraw!, and Adobe Photoshop to create workbooks, graphics, posters, ads, newsletters, and sales literature.
I teach Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, 2010, all versions of Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign 4 and 5.
How it Works:
First, we need to identify your goals and your knowledge level - beginner, self-taught with knowledge gaps, intermediate.
Then, I create a custom-tailored instruction program that teaches you, WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW to be productive and meet your goals.
Where and When Will We Meet
I try to find a public place suitable for both parties, like a Starbucks Coffee shop or library. We will decide on a time that works for both of us and travel time is important to me.
