Hello! My name is Morgan, and I'm currently enrolled in my last undergraduate semester at the University of Miami. I've been a professional tutor for over three years now, and I have significant experience in providing academic aid to my students in a variety of subjects. I began tutoring because I noticed during my years in high school that I was able to help my classmates and younger students understand challenging material with relative ease, and as such, I began to thoroughly enjoy helping others understand their work.
My passion for helping others with their academics has only flourished since I began tutoring professionally, and I believe my clients find me to be a very reliable source of aid. Additionally, my ability and willingness to travel to the student or meet in a convenient location has made the process of receiving academic aid simple for my clients.
I believe my depth of knowledge, approachable personality and professional experience allow me to relate with my clients quickly and effectively. While the majority of my clients have been in middle school and high school, I am more than competent in a number of college subject areas pertaining to (but not limited to) my primary fields of study. I am also a classically trained musician in a number of instruments, and my wide knowledge of music theory in addition to instrumental performance make me an ideal instructor for beginning and continuing musicians of any age.
If you believe I might be a good fit for your needs or the needs of your child, please don't hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.
I began taking drum lessons in the fourth grade, and continued in percussion instruction until my freshman year in college. Since the 5th grade, I participated continuously in percussion ensembles in addition to being the first chair percussionist in the Treasure Coast Orchestra and my high school's concert band. I was selected to the Florida All-State Band 3 times and National Orchestra once for percussion.
I began formal education in music in when I was 4 years old. I am proficient in piano, guitar, bass, percussion, and vocal music. In addition to being instructed in instrumental performance, I have also been exposed to a significant amount of ear training, sight reading exercises, and musicality training. I was selected as an All-State Musician for percussion 3 times in high school, and I was honored to be selected as first chair percussionist for the National Orchestra once. I have composed several sonatas and other works, but beyond my classical knowledge of music, I am also a competent improvisational musician. I excelled in AP Music Theory and received a perfect score of 5 on all subsections. I have mentored many other musicians over the years, many of whom are now pursuing a career in music.
