Last May, I graduated from the University of Miami as a chemistry major and a mathematics minor, and I am currently a first year student at the Miller School of Medicine. During my four years at UM, I spent a considerable amount of time tutoring, both one-on-one and in front of larger groups. I worked for the Academic Resource Center, which provides free tutoring for undergraduate students, for three years tutoring both chemistry and calculus. As a senior, I was nominated for the Excellence in Tutoring Award.
Additionally, I worked as a discussion leader for both general and organic chemistry where I led students through problem sets and answered any questions they may have had. Finally, I worked as a chemistry laboratory teaching assistant (TA) for two years and was recognized for my work by received a TA Excellence Award.
Rather than taking a Kaplan or Princeton Review course for the MCAT, I studied on my own and managed to score a 36. I can definitely help with any MCAT questions as well.
