Hello all prospective students who would like an excellent business tutor,

I have completed an MBA degree in Management last year with a 3.52 GPA. And completed a Graduate Global Management certificate recently. Throughout my entire graduate courses I was a group leader requiring me to coordinate assignments, to fairly distribute assignments and to advise, edit and rewrite subjects from my classmates. The results were an A on the assignments. Most assignments involved case studies: text book, library and internet research. Economics, accounting and finance courses involved lots of course work and answering homework questions.

Age groups varied from younger students in undergraduate courses to older graduate students. Many students can become better students by realizing what to learn rather than overburdening themselves with irrelevant study. My tutoring approach is to first decide and answer relevant questions you as a student have concerning passing your courses. Explaining a topic and asking for your reiteration will enable me to determine if you understand the subject and enlighten you to continue learning. Becoming involved in the subject is probably the best way to learn and remember. Also I will encourage you to organize time for study and focus on learning the course requirements. This will allow you to pass courses successfully.

Thank You,
Richard C.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Business

I have graduated from Nova Southeastern University with an MBA degree in management and business administration with a 3.52 GPA. I also have a bachelor's degree from Florida International University in management and business administration. My background in business is diverse from: sales, management, purchasing, stock and options trading and accounting. One of my tutoring methods is to explain concepts and ask for reiteration.

College Counseling

As a college graduate with three degrees I think having an objective is important in doing well with college. Obtaining the correct information concerning degree requirements and courses to achieve the degree help keep students focused on their goals. In short knowing what degree to pursue and what is required to complete the degree are the first steps to success. I have worked as a registrar assistant and counseled students. I learned something from one of my college professors who counseled and advised his students clearing up any confusion about degrees and to provide motivation. There are many guidelines I used to complete college and would like to instruct other students to improve competency in college.

Elementary Science

Science has been an interesting subject all my life. Remarkably, I have remembered words and concepts throughout my life. Science is a vast subject that includes everything from molecular bonds to why leaves are green. I have knowledge of most subjects and can understand new ideas from research and convey them to students.

English

I am a native English speaker as I was born and have lived in Florida all my life. English is an interesting language originating from Germany during the Roman empire 2000 years ago and adopted by the British Isles. Spanish words have also become part of English. Today over one billion people speak modern English. As a college student in South Florida English is the only language I have used to write, speak and communicate. In speech good English also becomes excellent writing. The rules of proper English are straight forward and add meaning and understanding of the language. Learning English can be distinct and rewarding for the student.

ESL/ESOL

English is my native language. I am an excellent writer and speaker of English and capable of teaching correct English. Communicating with English is an important aspect of achieving high grades and capability to tutor English.

Grammar

Grammar can be the difference between being understood and being misunderstood. Grammar is also an important part of expression. After writing many term papers and giving many presentations I have learned to use exemplary grammar and would like to tutor anyone willing to improve their grammar.

Marketing

I have completed at least three MBA and graduate courses in marketing receiving an A in each course. I have been an assistant company manager for a small export company and marketed products. My tutoring and teaching is based on comprehension, learning and good study habits.

Microsoft Excel

I have designed and utilized many Excel spreadsheets. Most required formulas to calculate various answers used for a particular job. I also learned how to build and use Excel spreadsheets efficiently and legibly.

Microsoft PowerPoint

Power points are an abbreviated message used by both the presenter and the audience to understand topics. As an MBA graduate many Microsoft PowerPoint presentations were required to complete courses. I learned how to construct power point slides and to give excellent presentations.

Microsoft Word

I have used Microsoft word in most of my courses as a way to communicate and for assignments. I still use word as a part time graduate student for the same reasons. Also I know how to use APA formatting. One of the reasons I make A's is due to the proper use of Microsoft word.

Proofreading

Proofreading is an important part of writing. The best ideas can be ruined if they are not presented properly. In college professors will not give an A to papers that have writing, spelling, grammar and format errors. I have edited and proofread many papers in undergraduate and graduate courses that usually received and A.

Vocabulary

As a college student, understanding the correct meaning of words is essential to understanding any subject. I have recently graduated with an MBA degee and obtained a 3.52 GPA. My courses required me to read many textbooks. One of the first learning methods was to understand the vocabulary that enabled me to learn the subject.

Writing

As an MBA graduate with a 3.52 GPA, writing was an important part of earning my graduate degree. Many classes required members in a group to write about subjects. My role for these courses was to lead the group members and to edit and rewrite their subjects. For most group assignments the outcome was an A. Understanding word usage and remembering to explain distinctly what is written and to view the writing as the person reading, improves writing also.
