Elementary (K-6th)

I am certified by the Florida Department of Education to teach Elementary Education K-6.

Elementary Math

What helps young students to successfully apply math concepts and procedures and move into applications are a solid foundation in whole numbers, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals. The K-5 Common Core Standards provides detail guidance to teachers on how to navigate through topics such as Operations & Algebraic Thinking, Numbers & Operations in Base Ten, Measurement & Data, and Geometry and should be the focus of instruction. The standards should not only stress procedural skills but conceptual understanding also. This shows that students are learning and absorbing critical information they need to succeed.
