After living in Germany for the past 8 years, where I worked as an ESL teacher, my family and I have just relocated to Miami! Teaching English as a second language primarily to adults, but also to teenagers, gave me great perspective to the challenges of learning English. I faced many of these same challenges myself while studying Spanish, German, and Chinese. I am definitely a language person, who knows what is like to be both the student of a foreign language, as well as the teacher. My strengths are in recognizing students' different learning methods, and adjusting my lesson plans or teaching technique to best reach each person on the level that is most comfortable and effective for them. My goal is for the students to enjoy English while learning it. My expectations are that the students are willing to meet the challenge, and want to learn. I have two children, a 3 year old daughter, and a 1 year old son. My husband is German, so we are raising our kids in a bilingual household.
