I am a recent graduate from Florida International University, having earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in April 2012 with a 3.9 GPA and a member of summa cum laude.
I have had a passion for English, reading, writing, and the social studies since I was in grade school. Throughout high school, I took on AP level coursework in English Language and Literature along with American history and a variety of other subjects including AP Calculus. My specialty is one-on-one tutoring with grade level students and adults.
As a tutor, I understand the frustration and difficulty students may face when bombarded with a series of incomprehensible words; the feeling is often times overwhelming. My responsibility is to help students understand that words are an important facet of daily life, and that we can interpret compositions in numerous ways. The flexibility of this subject area makes it a pleasure to teach.
I will effectively help garner skills in my students' areas of opportunity, and furthermore, portray how the proper comprehension and interpretation of language will allow for the successful manifestation of English writing.
