I always loved to teach, as corresponding to an eager nature for learning. I am an overachiever who enjoy sharing knowledge, continuously updating skills. Maybe, the greatest value that I can teach others, youngsters or elder ones, it is to never give up; even if you had stopped, considered as a pause and resume! I am a mirror to it: just completed my BS of Science in Information Technology, with a GPA of 3.85, and consistently on the President's List.
Knowing about networking and being a computer savvy is nowadays essential, and will be required in a nearby future. My skills include Network principles, TCP/IP Networking, network devices and Security, computer peripherals installing, configuring and maintenance, Microsoft Office Suite 2003/7/10, all Windows operating systems, Internet and Web surfing techniques, and more. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
As part of my academic program, I was introduced to Microsoft Office 2007, and to further my skills, I took and successfully completed a Database/Access course, then Database Design, focused on Access and SQL, scoring A in both.
Microsoft Access is part of the Office Suite, enabling users to structure a database for personal use or to small/medium sized business.
You can either customize templates offered within it, or start from scratch your own. It is very useful to organize your data and any kind of information, allowing later to retrieve specific information through the definition of queries.
Information is contained in tables, having a special column with a piece of unique data that identifies the entity across the row. For instance, a row with several columns to enter individual information like first name, last name, address, phone, and data specific to the relationship, will require that special column containing a data unique to that individual, such as a social security number, or membership number, which cannot be duplicated in that table, or database.
Then, Access enables you to structure reports and forms, and access the database using an interface named "switchboard", designed to ease access and administration of the database.
I just completed my Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Microsoft brought to life personal computers using an operating system called "Windows"; operating systems are what makes computers be more than a pile of metal and wires. PCs started becoming popular with the version of Windows '95; then '98, 2000, XP, Vista, 7, and assumed to come soon, Windows 8. Every version was developed with the characteristic that made Microsoft popular, user friendly. As technology has become more affordable, PCs have been built more powerful, e.g., with larger memories and faster processors, and software more intuitive. Depending on the need of the student, I would focus on teaching them how to use their version of Windows to support their activities. Include installation, configure to tune up, maintenance, and some tricks to make the most of Windows.
Students will be tutored to manage file access and security, multitasks and file sharing, disk optimization and memory use, virtual memory settings, registry optimization, users accounts, and general OS troubleshooting.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology degree, majored on Network Administration, with CompTIA Network + Certification, and am a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate. I have done freelancing as a Network Specialist for Miami Legacy Solutions. Networking is one the subjects I teach at a vocational careers institution in Hialeah, FL (teaching Computer Business Applications)
