I have been tutoring since high school. I enrolled in a magnet geared towards people in the education field. That in turn allowed me to intern in a special education classroom when I was in the 11th grade. Once I graduated, I majored in Education and graduated four years later with a Social Science Education Degree. While in college I worked through a government funded program called 'Camp Success' as an after school aid, assisting and tutoring elementary age students. Once I obtained my degree I worked for three years as a Social Studies teacher for middle school age students. Currently I home school my two young children.
I love to teach and and I love when my students learn. I teach/tutor under the premise that everything is relate-able. I believe that the learning gap exists in our inability to marry what is being taught to real-life experience.
