I have a Masters in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Brown University; I have been teaching and tutoring for over 15 years. I have worked with students of all ages from pre-K to adults. My areas of expertise include self-directed education; English (reading, writing, grammar); Spanish; ESL; Mathematics including Algebra II, Geometry, Sacred Math; Biology; Freedom. The clearest indication of a successful tutoring experience is when a student is articulating and/or demonstrating what he or she is learning. This result is always my goal. I have a very patient demeanor and am easy to get along with. My tutoring sessions are comfortable, fun, and efficient. I look forward to working with you.
"You came in at the last-minute and really pushed me where I needed it. I learned so much during that one session and I ROCKED the math portion of the test. I love you!" (GRE student)
"At the beginning I didn't even know what domain meant. Obviously I don't feel like I understand everything yet, but I feel like I could sit down, try a problem, and teach some of it to someone else." (college Algebra student)
"It was hard work, but I feel like I am better at writing now." (9th grade student)
"All my kids love you!" (parent)
"When you talk about how much you love math, I feel like I'm talking to an alien!" LOL
