I have a masters in special education but even more than this I have tutored at least many ADD/ADDHD students in specifically junior high and high school math over the past 15 years. The students have done very well. I have a lot of patience and i try to make the class interesting and I try to incorporate applications of the concepts that are outside the book. I try to pace the class to the student. I also have no problem repeating an idea or teaching it in a different way.

Algebra is the study of the real number system. It includes the set of integers, positive and negative numbers and how to add, subtract, multiply and divide. It also focuses on answering the key question in math , what is the value of the variable x. To find the variable x, it is sometimes necessary to evaluate an expression and at another times it is necessary to solve an equation.

It is here that algebra gets exciting. There are various techniques to learn. these are the properties of numbers, like distribution commutative property and the associative property. Later functions, both linear and quadratic, are introduced. This leads to learning how to graph and interpreting graphs. Lastly polynomials and exponent are introduced. They are the backbone to algebra. Don't forget about the right triangle, Pythagorean theorem, and squares and square roots.

Algebra 2 is the study of real and imaginary numbers. It is also the study of functions. Functions include a thorough study of linear functions, quadratic functions, polynomial functions, inverse functions as well as exponential functions. Also in the course is the study of conic sections, sequences and series followed by probability and statistics.

I have been tutoring elementary school children for ten years. I work on workbook material using highlighters and flash cards. I use positive reinforcement and break down the material to the simplest level possible to enhance their self-esteem and confidence in learning. Elementary students need me to teach with all five senses. They need a lot of practice and review.

I have a Maters in special education. In my education I focused in reading, decoding and phenemic awareness skills. I developed many techniques to teach phonics.

Trigonometry is the study of the right triangle. It includes Pythagorean theorem, sine cosine and tangent of an angle of a triangle. It also includes,Trying to find the missing side or angle of a triangle. In addition,it includes cool rules, called identities which allow a person to manipulate the information given by making amazing substitutions to simplify a problem. Graphing is another component of trigonometry. The graphs used in trigonometry become the foundation of sound and light laws in physics and chemistry. Trigonometry is a great subject.
