I have been a professional educator and tutor for the past 15 years. Originally, I began by teaching SAT English and Math for the Princeton Review after graduating from George Washington in 1996 and started teaching high school English full-time in 2000 after receiving my Masters Degree in English Education from Vanderbilt University. My length and range of teaching experiences have provided me with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in both subject assimilation and standardized testing instruction. I feel extremely confident in my ability to help students feel more adept with both the content of and strategic approach to standardized tests. While the majority of my instruction has been focused on the SAT/ACT and GRE, I do have experience helping with the LSAT/SSAT and a tad bit of the GMAT. In addition, I have worked with over 50 students from various schools in the Miami area on writing their college essays and helping them with related components of the college application process.
I feel highly skilled in most core subject areas, particularly English but also Math up to pre-Calculus. My true loves are American Literature and any form of writing. Outside of academics, I am keenly fond of playing tennis, squash, golf, and travel.
