In undergrad, I studied Philosophy and Business Administration. I have since taken several courses online. I have also deepened my knowledge of economics by reading several of the great books in economics. I am still in touch with my former economics professors; and, we talk about ideas regularly.
I have volunteered in education since and throughout college. I have taught the English language. I know to structure lessons in accordance with students' interests. For example, some students prefer to learn English through a narrative-based approach; they want to hear stories. Others would like to be able to read their Bible. I bend over backwards to help my students learn.
Finally, I stay in touch with my former students through Social Media updates. For example, in addition to teaching a specific discipline, I also teach a lot about general study skills. On Twitter, I post reminders, as well as pointers in study techniques as I learn them. Learning with me means continued learning.
