My name is Susan. I have taught English, writing, theatre, public speaking, accent reduction, and communication skills for non-Native speakers. I am experienced with all age groups and love teaching. I have also taught English as a second language in Miami and Paris, France. I have been teaching for over 15 years.
I have taught at Miami Dade College, Florida International University, Lynn University, and the University of Melbourne in Australia among many others. I am most interested in helping students reach the next level in their career and in assisting students who have difficulty doing well in school due to a language barrier.
I have a Masters in Communications from the American University of Paris. Living abroad and teaching English as a private tutor helped me to understand the issues people face trying to improve conversation in another language. I run a small business in Miami coaching people of all ages who want to improve their English, fix their accent or simple converse more freely in business English. I am very dedicated and will stop at nothing to help a student learn. Excellent references available.
