Hi!

I would very much enjoy being your teacher. A person really learns to become a better reader by reading. And the same is true about writing. Just recently, I helped a high school senior improve her ACT scores enough that she was accepted into the college she really wanted. I have taught for over 20 years, from elementary school through college and adult continuing ed. I also work as a musician in churches, where I play the organ and piano and lead the singing.

I graduated with honors from Trinity in Washington, DC. After I worked as a French and Music History teacher, I went to grad school at Boston University. After I earned a Master's Degree I worked in the Boston area for ten years. My husband and I moved here and I have continued in the fields of education and music.

I was a piano student for 6 years, and studied organ an additional 5 years. I have been employed as a music director for over 15 years.

Study Skills

Having taught students of various ages for over ten years, I have developed skills to assist individuals maximize their achievement, especially in English language, vocabulary and writing. I have a Master's degree and have taught elementary school through college and adult continuing ed.

Voice (Music)

I have been a soloist in choirs since high school and a lead soprano in grad school. I currently serve as a church cantor and keyboard musician.

I have over 5 years of experience teaching this ESL, in both Boston and Miami. I am currently teaching at an inlingua Language Center as a classroom instructor and private tutor.

Bible Studies

I did an undergraduate minor in religious studies, and it was the subject of my Master's Degree. In all, I have over 100 hours of coursework and additional certification in this field.

As a professional education director and teacher of teachers, I have over 25 years of experience speaking before groups. These have ranged from small gatherings of peers to an auditorium full of participants. Furthermore, I am able to integrate PowerPoint and other audio-visuals into my presentations.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
