My name is Anisleidys M. I am Cuban and I have been living in Miami since 2003. I am a friendly person, I like to help others and most of all, I love children. This is why in the future, I want to become a pediatrician.
I enjoy tutoring and I have been doing so since I was in high school. Additionally, during college, I volunteered in the Math Lab and Chemistry Lab as a tutor. As a matter of fact, I dedicated more that 100 hours of tutoring during the 2008-2009 academic year. As a reward, I was awarded the President's Volunteer Service Award during that year. Furthermore, during my senior year in college, I started working as a tutor at Wise Choice Tutoring Center. I tutored students from pre-kinder to college level in various subjects such as English comprehension, English as a second language, mathematics, writing, chemistry, and biology. I also tutored children with various physical and intellectual disabilities including Down's Syndrome, Osteogenesis Imperfecta, Autism, Dramatic Brain Injury, and Attention Deficit Disorder.
My experience as a tutor has helped me develop skills that allow my students to understand the subjects of study in a fun and easy manner. I like using analogies that the child can understand and remember easily. Likewise, I like learning about the child likes because that helps me teach them study skills that involve their interests.
