ESL and Language Arts (English) teacher with MDCPS.

I have a Professional Certificate for both Middle and High School students and I teach ESL/EAP to adult students in the evenings. I recently completed my M.ED. in ESL/Bilingual Education so I am very up-to-date with research based, student centered teaching strategies and methods. This knowledge and training, combined with my 7 years of experience in both fields, produce real learning gains and effective results.

Prior to teaching, I worked abroad (Brazil, Spain) for over twenty years as a Corporate Director and later my own business (in Brazil). Thus, I am fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and have experience and sensitivity with other peoples and cultures. This broad based business experience translates into meaningful and practical learning. My tutoring method will be centered on you and your specific needs and we shall plan and proceed accordingly.
