Hi, how are you doing? I taught Business Law as a part-time faculty member at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in the Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising departments. Also, I taught the Entertainment Law Seminar at Florida International University in the Legal Studies Institute, for paralegal students.

In addition, I am the Chair of the Annual Fashion Law Student Writing Competition, presented by the Florida Bar Entertainment, Arts & Sports Law Section, and also an Executive Council member of EASL.

I am admitted to practice law in Florida, Louisiana, California, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. I passed all bar exams the first time.

I graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Juris Doctorate and Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. While in college, I focused on Government, Politics and International Relations. While in Law School, I focused on Business Law.

Also, I frequently lecture on the Entertainment Business at local, state and national continuing legal education and community events. For example, she taught the Entertainment Law Workshops at Tipitina’s Co-Op in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to students ranging from pre-teens to adults.

Finally, I am a Princeton Review Certified teacher for the SAT, ACT, Early Edge Middle School Math and English Language Arts.

Elementary Math

Math can be fun! I used to hate learning math. Now when I teach math to elementary and middle school students, I utilize drawings and bring out the students' creativity. I am so happy that my students now enjoy learning math and that they see its practical applications.

English

I teach English Language Arts in a middle school after-school grant program with Irving ISD and Princeton Review. I also teach high school level Reading, Writing, and Grammar.

Grammar

Grammar is just formulas. Even with practice, what sounds good may not be correct. I help students how to learn and recognize the rules for application in reading, writing and speaking.

Piano

I studied piano, music theory and composition with private teachers, including Maestro Ruspoli in Miami and Heather Coltman who is the head of the piano department at Florida Atlantic University. I teach with great classic piano pedagogy books for beginners.

Public Speaking

Public speaking is both a skill and and art. It involves a mastery of content, knowing your audience, vocal projection, body language, and theatrical techniques.

Public speaking is important for many professions and also for many school subjects. In my professions, law and teaching, public speaking is important to persuade an audience and convey ideas.

One can improve one's public speaking by knowing the subject matter, researching and understanding the audience, and also practicing in person communication techniques such as: confidence of voice, gestures, eye contact and positive body language.

Study Skills

Study skills include the ability to learn, remember, understand and apply concepts. It is important when studying that a students knows the difference between agreeing with something in a book and actually learning how to internalize the concept for later application.

The first thing to learn as a study skill is just to be able to sit down and study for a significant period of time.

Then, the student can focus on understanding, remembering and practicing application.
