I have not only tutored the NCLEX but have successfully completed the testing process on my way to becoming an RN/BSN. I challenged then entire RN course via the Paramedic to RN Bridge program and passed the NCLEX on the first try. This test is composed of a majority of the nursing concepts like failure to thrive and inadequate caloric intake and some other physical assessment skills. The applicant has to be able to understand the theory behind the general concept. For instance Failure to thrive is a general nursing concept which may be put into nursing notes but then has to be defended with an actual reason and a plan to deal with the outcome of the patient's failure to thrive. There are many other concepts that the applicant needs to understand as well. I can related to the way the test is written and how to read the questions in an organized orderly manner so that there is enough time to be able to successfully pass the exam. It seems that is one of the biggest issues, the inability to read the questions and gain insight into the concept or clue. I can help the applicant do just that as well as understanding the material needed to master this exam.

The administrator of any medication must be familiar with the indications contraindications side effects mechanism of action dosage and route of every medication. In some cases they must also be aware of synergistic effects and antagonistic effects of the medication among other issues. I have this knowledge and also the general effects of the medication on the body itself.

Then the two of us would have to figure out schedule and timing within the constraints of their present lives to attempt this new study regime. As far as study skills specifically, I can sit down with the student and work with their individual needs in each subject. The first step is to look at their busy schedule and then to see where the student can either add or delete activities. Then the student and I can figure out what the student needs to learn the material. The different methods of studying from reading highlighting index cards outlining etc can all be employed in good study skills. The student and I would have to work together in trying to figure out the best method for each individual.
