Composition (Music)

Composition is the most personal way of expressing yourself with music. In my 30 years of performing and composing I’ve written music for dance companies, Jazz quartets, Classical orchestras, popular music recordings and church performances, ETC. My grasp of music theory and common song forms allows me to be versatile and flexible in my approach to composing.

Guitar

I’m passionate about playing and teaching guitar. I’ve spent countless hours observing guitarists, participating in professional performances and workshops with the goal of perfecting my skills so that I can be an exceptional performer and teacher.

It’s a pathway to the understanding of the inner workings of music. It reveals the secrets of the great composers. Music theory organizes the complexities of music and clarifies the principles of composition.
I help students gain knowledge of these principles and guidelines in a thorough and methodical way.
