My name is Nicky and I would like to help you achieve some of your life's goals, be that improving your English or enjoying the creation of a new painting.

My background is in French and Art and I have always liked cultures and languages. I speak English and French and am working on my Spanish. I Have a CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults) in ESL and have taught classes from Elementary to Advanced. I have many hours of experience in private tutorials and really have enjoyed the people I have met so far on my journey.

I have an Associate's degree in Commercial Art and even though I was a forms designer for 8 years, I have always preferred the fine arts. From 2009 to 2010, I was the student of a professional portrait painter in my community. He taught many things that I would happily pass on to you.

I have been teaching ESL in Miami for a year and a half. These classes have been comprised of students from all over the world at various levels of ability.

Before that I tutored a young woman from Morocco for 6 months at a very beginner level.

A few years ago, I also taught school children at Sylvan Learning Center in Greensboro, NC, for about a year.

Painting

Painting animals and scenery is one of my passions. I enjoy the sensation of the lack of awareness to the passage of time.

After graduation from the university, I went to the local community college and received an AS in Commercial Art, but my true love was and is fine art.

For a year, I took private lessons with a professional portrait artist and have tried to use all the pointers presented to me.

How do I receive a discount?

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
