Dear Clients, I am a French native tutor providing French lessons and tutoring in and around Melbourne Beach, FL. I grew up in Europe and I graduated there in Psychology. I have worked in child development, psychology and education for more than 7 years. I gained a lot of experience training young adults and working with children. I presently work as a professional freelance translator in the United Sates. In addition to my mother tongue, I speak fluent English, as well as Spanish and a rusty Dutch. I have tried every program from summer camps, internships, books, recorded tapes, and even Rosetta Stones! As you can see, I have experience learning new languages and I have been in your shoes! As you may already know, the best way to learn a foreign language is by IMMERSION. Immersion means that students move into a foreign country where they are immersed in a new culture and a new language 24/7. With that method, students usually speak the new language fluently within 3 months!
This is why I recommend doing at least one session per week with daily practice. My goal is to give you the closest thing to an immersion experience. In my opinion, learning a new language is a thrilling adventure that requires a lot of motivation and consistency! That's why my teaching method is fun, methodical and consistent. French conversation will be used during the classes. During the lessons, you will be introduced to the French and European cultures. New concepts may be introduced in themed chapters (i.e., emergency situations, eating out, traveling, professional life, family matters). New grammatical concepts and tenses should be introduced one session at the time to allow for a better assimilation. That means you will not be studying all the tenses by heart and at once, but rather you will improve your language skills gradually, building on the concepts previously learned. Sessions will be tailored to your particular needs/interests and age. I will happily provide a background check on request. Looking forward to meeting you, Laetitia
