My name is Hannah S. and I would like to help your students learn

Hi Students and Parents,

My name is Hannah and I am 27. I am a graduate of Florida Southern in Lakeland where I majored in History. I live on a beef cattle ranch between Sebring and Lake Placid Fl. I have a great interest in history and really enjoy keeping track of world events. I grew up in First United Methodist Church of Sebring and during my time in Lakeland I attended Southside Baptist Church. My hobbies include reading and writing stories. I also enjoy college football and basketball games, horse-racing and researching stats on these sports. While I was growing up I was a member of the local 4-H club and FFA chapter. I showed animals in the local fair, gave speeches, and was a member of the Parliamentary Procedure team. I am the daughter of teachers. My mom is retired from teaching elementary students, mostly 1st grade, and my dad taught high school agriculture. I have spent many hours helping their students. I have also help local elementary and middle school students with their homework at after-school church functions and have compiled and taught lessons for Vacation Bible School, and more recently facilitated some adult Sunday School classes. As for a tutoring method, I know, very well, that each student learns differently and I would try to give each one the best opportunity to learn.

My experience in teaching study skills is what I learned from studying. I understand that each student works differently and I would strive to give each student the best environment for them to learn. I know the importance of taking breaks and taking notes.
