Within 3 days of having contacted Mr. L., he was standing at my front door - ready to offer a helping hand on AP Physics B. Within our first two and a half hour session, not only did fluid mechanics, waves, and magnetism suddenly makes sense to me, but I was taught some valuable studying and note taking tips as well.
Mr. L. truly knows what he's doing and he has a very effective way of passing that knowledge on to people who are willing to listen.

Dr L is teaching my daughter and son Algebra and in only a few short lessons, they have developed a great deal of self confidence because of Dr L's ability to identify their areas of weakness and address those rather than plodding along teaching concepts that they have already mastered. I've been scared of math for a very long time now. I withdrew from intermediate algebra twice and my SAT math scores have expired. The only way for me to place into a new math class is by taking the College Placement Test in Mathematics. I decided to tutor with Dr. L and we went systematically through the review material provided by the college. If I didn't know how to answer a problem, he showed me how. If I knew how to solve a problem but there was a better way, he showed me how. He loves to teach and knows how to teach. I'm ready for my Placement Test and I wouldn't have gotten there without Dr. L.

My wife and I truly believe Dr. L.’s tutoring has been the reason our daughter has gone from a below average grade to a B in honors physics. In part because of the teaching style of her high school physics teacher, and our daughter's failure to adequately grasp the concepts being presented, she was falling further and further behind and we were quite concerned. Physics concepts never seemed to stick with her and no one concept could relate to the next. By Dr. L. explaining the concepts in more real-life scenarios, then showing her what to do, watching her do it and gently correcting her mistakes, she has been able raise her grade and gain more self-confidence in the class. Larry is an excellent tutor and very patient. He is able to take complex subject's and break them down into simple understandable componets. Very flexibile meeting hours, great understanding of material, and truly has a special gift to teach. Without Larry my Physics class would still seem like another language, but he has been able to work through any questions I have and is willing to spend as much time as needed until the subject is understood.

We have never had the help of a tutor before and I was a little concerned...would the tutor be a good fit for my child? Would he/she be worth the money? Would they really make a difference? And Larry gave me the answers I was looking for--YES, YES, YES!!! My 14 year old son has struggled with Algebra for over a year. He had sought help through school tutoring programs, but to know avail. We have had only 3 sessions w/Larry and the difference in my son's grade is already apparent!
