Bible Studies

I've been a Bible teacher for over 14 years, participating in weekly study sessions in both private and group studies.

I'm well-versed in both the Hebrew and Christian Greek scriptures as they pertain to knowledge about God, Jesus Christ, the history of the Jewish people up to the first century and the beginnings of the first century Christian congregation.

I am currently enrolled in an on-going study course, or Theocratic Ministry School, to better equip myself for teaching, preaching and explaining what the Bible teaches.

General Music

I've been a musician for 41 years, working professionally for the last 33 years. I've worked as a live/session musician in the L.A. area, playing for theater shows, recordings and live performances. I am currently performing and writing music in my locality, adding professional vocalist to my repertoire.

Macintosh

I have worked with the Apple family of products for 19 years. I'm currently fluent in OSX 10.8.x (Mountain Lion). I am also fluent with Apple's iOS line of products and how they sync/connect to the Mac, having worked as an iOS Tech Specialist with Apple for one-and-a-half-years.

Music History

I've been a musician for 41 years, working professionally for the last 33 years. I worked in the Music Licensing department for Lorimar Productions and Warner Bros. TV. I also worked with jazz producer Jack Lewis for ten years, who produced such artists as Al Cohn, Bobby McFerrin and Diane Reeves. He was also the personal manager for George Carlin. Part of my Studio Music degree coursework from Cal State Northridge was a contemporary music history course, and I was instrumental in establishing a Commercial Music program at L.A. Harbor College in California.

Public Speaking

I've worked as a professional actor for 25 years, with many live show performances under my belt. I'm currently enrolled in an ongoing Public Speaking course, demonstrating public speaking to students. As a result of my public speaking/teaching abilities, I am often called upon to provide training materials for government/business organizations.

Religion

I'm currently a minister with a worldwide organization of almost 8 million members, having worked with them for the past 14 years. I'm enrolled in their Theocratic Ministry School that trains us on how to be better teachers, speakers and ministers as it pertains to Bible knowledge, history and morality. I also actively work with people on helping them learn more about the Bible through group/personal Bible study.

Theatre

I've worked as a professional actor for 25 years, with many live show performances under my belt. I'm currently enrolled in an ongoing Public Speaking course, demonstrating public speaking to students. As a result of my public speaking/teaching abilities, I am often called upon to provide training materials for government/business organizations.

Trumpet

I've been a musician for 41 years, working professionally for the last 33 years on trumpet and flugelhorn. I've worked as a live/session musician in the L.A. area, playing for theater shows, recordings and live performances. I am currently performing and writing music in my locality, adding professional vocalist to my repertoire.

Approved Subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet certified in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
