I am currently certified in Elementary Education K-6 and Special Education K-12. I teach summer school programs in reading math and drama. I create and explain IEP's to parents, advocates and outside agencies. I currently work for the school district as a Behavior Specialist (2 yrs) and a former teacher for 5 years. I support the general education and special education teachers, students and parents. I have worked in the after school programs tutoring reading, social skills, drama, dance and more. I currently work with student who have Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Specific Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Conduct Disorder and more. I also assist the teachers in the development of IEPs and the integration of curriculum for students coming off of special standards. I also work with teachers on reward systems, FBA's and teaching social skills. I work with parents to understand the needs of their children and how to help them.
