I am a high school social studies teacher with over 30 years of experience, additionally; I have specialized in Advanced Placement History for 10 of those years with better than an 80 percent pass rate in AP European History, AP US History, AP World History and AP Human Geography. In working with these College Board programs, I am employed by the College Board as a test reader, table leader for test grading and a national presenter for other Advanced Placement teachers. In doing so, I have gained deep understanding of how to write college level historical analysis. I have tremendous strengths in thesis writing, understanding point of view, and teaching students to express themselves at the collegiate level in all levels of historical writing: essay, book review, and historiography. With a Masters of History college degree and over 35 years of experience in secondary education, students who follow my program have a high success rate at major universities. My students are not intimidated by their college essay assignments. Strong analytical writing is the cornerstone to pleasing college professors.

The Bible is a great history book of God’s work among His people. As a teacher in two different Christian schools I have developed a wide series of lessons on the Bible. As a history major I understand the growth of such a powerful resource and have used this knowledge to enlighten biblical studies in both religious and secular classrooms. I find students respond best to biblical studies when I give historical backgrounds and geographical references to supplement the lessons.
