I am a vastly experienced teacher dedicated to providing an inspirational and high quality learning environment. I am committed to educational excellence and concerned for students' wants and needs. I am bilingual (fluent English and Spanish) and facilitate the students' understanding in both languages.
I have experience teaching students from different levels, middle school to college; individually and in groups. I also have a good command of the science and mathematics fields. I am certified to teach in the state of Florida Biology 6-12 but I also have years of experience teaching Chemistry, Physics, Earth Space, Human Anatomy and Physiology. I also have taught General Math, Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus and Calculus. I also have experience doing lab activities that provide support for my students. All my experience enables me to master skills that will give my students the foundations to succeed at their levels. It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability to be compassionate, and enthusiastic. I am a teacher who will make a positive contribution to my students' academic achievements.

Biology

The goal of Biology is to develop a deep understanding of the natural world and to promote among the students the respect for other living things and the environment. This course covers the following areas :
*Nature of Science- To investigate using
the scientific method how nature works
at all levels from molecules, cell to
the biosphere.
*Ecology- To investigate the interaction
among organisms and their environment.
*Cells- To study the basic unit of life and
all the processes that at that level
provide the energy to survive.
*Genetics- To show how a universal genetic
code determines an organism's
characteristics.
*Evolution- To demonstrate how organisms
have evolve over time.
*Taxonomy- To investigate the variation
among organisms from microorganisms to
complex multicellular organisms.
*Human Body- To show all the coordinated
functions that supports and maintain
human's homeostasis.

Geometry

The goal of Geometry is to study the properties and applications of common geometric figures in two and three dimensions. The geometry course must cover the following topics:
*Tools of Geometry- To understand and
apply the logical reasoning of
axioms,theorems inductive and deductive
statements.
*Parallel and Perpendicular lines- To use
geometric proofs to demonstrate
parallel and perpendicular lines. The
use of formulas to find midpoint of a
segment and distance.
*Congruent Triangles- To prove that
triangles are congruent by using the
concept of corresponding parts.
*Quadrilaterals- To prove the relationship
between angles in polygons by using
properties of complementary,
supplementary, vertical and exterior
angles.
*Proportions and Similarities- To
determine how changes in dimensions
affect the perimeter, area and volume
of figures.
*Right Triangle and Trigonometry- To use
measure of sides and exterior or
interior angles of triangles and
polygons to classify figures. The use
of the Pythagorean Theorem to determine
distance and find missing lengths of
a side of the triangle. The use of
trigonometry to solve for an unknown
length of a side of the triangle.
*Transformations- To know the effect of
rigid motions on figures in the
coordinate plane and space including
rotations, translations and reflections
*Circles- To find the relationship among
chords, secants, tangents, inscribed
or circumscribed polygons of circles.
*Area, Surface Area and Volume- To compute
and solve problems applying formulas
of regular solids such as spheres,
prisms, pyramids, cylinders and cones.

Physical Science

Physics is a fundamental science that studies the relation among matter and energy. The goal of the physical science is to study this relation in order to apply them and make predictions. The course of physical science must include:

Scientific Method and Measurement
Structure and Properties of Matter
*Atomic model
*Law of Conservation of Matter
*Elements, compounds and Mixtures
*Density
Freezing and Melting Points
Motion and Forces
*Laws of Motion
*Gravity
Energy
*Types of Energy
*Waves
*Electricity
*Magnetism
