English/Writing/Language Arts Tutor for Elementary and High School

Hello,

I am a graduate of the University of Chicago class of 2011. I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology with an English and Creative Writing minor. Preparing our youth to become competitive, active citizens has been my goal since I began my undergraduate career in 2007. I have volunteered with several organizations, including Neighborhood Schooling Program, Big Brother Big Sister and Students for Educational Equity, in efforts to help students overcome academic, social, and personal milestones.

I have served as both a mentor and tutor in various grade levels ranging from 4th to 12th grade. I am currently serving as an AmeriCorps Public Ally at the University of Miami while taking leave from my master's program in education. I enjoy working with youth and I have found my passion in helping them to develop various skills sets that will benefit their future. I feel it is only by providing education and critical thinking skills that we can positively impact our future generations.
