I am semi-retired after many years of a busy law practice during which time I also ran an internship program for aspiring lawyers. In a sense therefore I have also been a teacher/mentor all of my professional life.
I have a strong background in international affairs and have traveled extensively throughout the United States and the world. Over the years I have provided private tutelage in many areas including Spanish Grammar,English Grammar, Introduction to Legal Studies,American History, Government and Politics, and English Literature.
Patience, an appreciation of multi-culturalism and sound academic preparation make me ideal to work with students of all abilities and backgrounds.
Coming from an extremely large family and having had classroom experience as a teacher, I understand that students vary widely in the rate at which they learn. I also understand that creating an interesting environment based on each student's personality and ability provides the motivation to learn. Such motivation is critical to successful tutoring. My passion for learning is such that my enthusiasm for the subject matter is contagious.
I will not only assist with specific school assignments but also help improve the student's overall understanding of, and interest in, the subject matter.
