I am a dedicated math teacher. I have been teaching in elementary school from 1989 through 1995; then, from being a Miami Dade college and Nova Southeastern University student, I have been teaching in secondary and tutor students with success. I am passionate about teaching, especially mathematics. My specialization is in math. It is easy to make others understand and become successful in math if we use different techniques and methods to approach the students. Having the knowledge of the subject is important; but having ways of successfully sharing or teaching the students is essential. Each student deserves a specific approach depending on his/her learning style and teachers need to adjust their teaching strategies so students could get the maximum of the teaching/learning process. Moreover, it is the teachers' role to ensure that learning takes place. That will reflect on both the teacher and the company credibility.
Teaching experience could be memorable for students and teachers if both commit to set up a well design plan and work toward meeting the pre-identified goals. Without the student's motivation and willingness to work with the tutor, having a good knowledge and using lots of strategies will most likely not work. Every student is capable of doing math; it is just a matter of the student being motivated and predisposed to learn, as well as the teacher having the competencies and using the appropriate methodology for that specific student. For instance, learning the formula or the steps to solve a problem is important; however, if the student is not willing to learn these, it will be very difficult for him to solve this type of problems.
I believe that I will be teaching or tutoring for the rest of my life as long as I have the energy and the physical ability to do so; That is my passion.
