Hello students and dear parents,
My name is Zacharie, I am 35 years old. I am married and have two lovely girls: Jessica, 12, and Michaelle, 8. I am currently living in Pembroke Pines and my favorite sport is soccer. Before coming to Florida, I was living in Brussels where I earned a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering and a Master degree in Transportation Management both graduated with mention:"Cum Laudae" I have been living in Florida since 2006 but in 2009 I had the opportunity to return to Haiti to work for Canadian Engineering Firm (Smi) as a Construction Manager in a project financed by the United Nations (U.N.D.P.). I suffered major losses in January 2010 when the worst earthquake in 200 years history destroyed the country and left more than 1, 000,000.00 people homeless.
"If you want to make a difference in the life of our nation; if you want to make a difference in the life of a child, becomes a teacher- your country needs you.", said President Obama at the State of Union in 2010. SO here I am, back in the states trying to communicate my passion for teaching. I want to make an immediate contribution in the education of the students by teaching them another language than Spanish. This new career is not a new orientation because I used to teach in College (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) to freshmen from 1998 to 2000. I was a Pre-Calculus teacher assistant at Univesite Quisqueya.
Currently, I am substituting in Broward County. I have been certified since March 2010. Last year, I worked more 70 hours as a substitute teacher at the: New Renaissance Middle school, Western High school, Flanagan High school, Driftwood Middle School, Miramar High School and New River Middle School. I already started taking at F.I.U. the courses required to get the Professional Teacher Certification.
I will be very glad to help others, learning:"la langue de Moliere" and I hope all of you will have lots of fun by speaking French in the streets of Paris, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Port-au-Prince, Montreal, Bruxelles, Monaco, Geneve, Abidjan, Dakar, Casablanca, ALger, Kinshasa, Yaounde, Hanoi, Phnom Penh etc..
