My name is Dina and I am a librarian. I have worked in the library setting for about 2 years and have mastered the art of teaching others how to use resources found at the library.
From an initial consultation, I would evaluate your/ your children's needs and provide sources and information for teaching them in the appropriate area. I would do this by consulting YOUR local library and choosing sources from their collections. (This way, they can also visit these sources when I am not tutoring them.) I believe that teaching children how to find information when they are unsure and using the resources the library has would create a positive outcome to their learning.
Taking them to the library would enhance the idea that libraries are places for learning and also a place to interact with others.
For older students, I have experience in library, writing and research. I have taught in a university academy setting and manage content for two architecture websites. I am very knowledgeable in art as well. I also have experience with different writing styles and research styles, as well as written annotated bibliographies, APA (and other) writing styles, etc.
I have also used Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, illustrator) within an academic and professional setting.
