My name is John, and, if you want to achieve excellence, contact me for information and details of my exceptional experience, abilities and skills. I am originally from White Plains, NY and have been living in Fort Lauderdale, FL, for the past fifteen years.
I attended an all boys private Episcopalian boarding school in Concord, NH, called St. Paul's School. Upon receiving an academic scholarship to attend, I accepted and attended the school for three years graduating cum laude in English, Spanish and religion. I also enjoyed courses in history and the social sciences.
Once graduation from St. Paul's School was completed, I attended Princeton University for four years, placed out of the freshman English requirement and went on to major in sociology, minor in education and completed a senior thesis of over 100 pages. In 1979, I accepted a full time position teaching social studies at White Plains High School in White Plains, NY, and in 1981 procured my master of science in education with a specialization in American history.
I moved from White Plains, NY, to teach English in Cali, Colombia, South America from 1990 to 1995. In coming back to the USA, I relocated to Fort Lauderdale, FL, where I worked as an English instructor for two intensive English programs which cater to international/foreign students from all over the world. In addition, I taught English and reading at City College in Fort Lauderdale and also worked with international students there.
If you are willing to work hard, complete the assignments I give you and be open to a multi-faceted approach to learning, I am the tutor of your choice. Contact me for a brief consultation regarding my services and your goals.

My name is John I., Director of Educational Excellence. These students wanted professional "standard English" to attend college in the USA or to work with English speaking clients in their countries with professionals. At City College, Fort Lauderdale, I was an English and reading specialist for students beginning their college studies.
I have taught in middle and high school for over 15 years and taught in college for 5 years. While teaching English, reading, debate and personal development at City College, Ft. The goal of the study skills component is to equip the student with hands on techniques including outlining, taking notes and underlining important information in a text.
