QuickBooks is an accounting and bookkeeping program which also allows for payroll and tax preparation. It has been around for over 20 years and I have been using it for over ten. I am knowledgeable in both the data entry into the bank account screens, liability(such as lines of credit and credit cards) as well as data entry into the accounts payable and accounts receivable screens. From there, one can be directed to prepare and print reports showing daily or monthly A/R and A/P reporting. With those daily entries and some verse into the accounting field, other reports can be prepared and presented and made available to board meetings or just review for the president of the company or the head staff accountant, these reports are income statements and balance sheets. I can explain what these reports mean if needed. Another function QuickBooks offers is payroll; while preparing weekly or biweekly payroll, QuickBooks is keeping track of liabilities needed for monthly and quarterly payroll tax reporting. This can simply be done with just a little outside help and some practice with the program. Keeping track of employees is also very easy with the help of QuickBooks. Also, QuickBooks helps with keeping track of customers, patients, vendors, or inventory. I remember when QuickBooks didn't allow payments to go straight into the program, but now there isn't much that this program doesn't do. Invoices are made easy, and so are receipts, and purchase orders.
