My love for teaching comes from a lifelong love of learning. As a graduate with a Bachelor's in Architecture I developed a passion for mathematics and have an a variety of interests within the industry. I have turned to tutoring due to my discovered knack for helping my 14 year old niece at understanding math. Holding a view that through constant inquiry one finds new ways to improve himself I have a diverse array of interests within architecture and urban planning. With a Master's in Urban and Regional Planning I have also published an article in a well respected magazine.
I specialize in tutoring Elementary Math, Algebra 2, GRE and Architecture related topics. Whether we are working on Algebra proofs or GRE topics my goal is to keep a student engaged throughout the session. Moreover, I believe that a mind needs to be challenged, not overwhelmed; therefore, I endeavor to give challenging homework to fit each student and provide periodic progress reports.
I hold myself at high standard, that being the reason why I ask for frequent feedback.
I do try to be flexible with my schedule, however I do have a 24 hour cancellation policy; however, I do offer makeup classes.
To ensure students have a quiet environment which fosters learning I prefer using the local Weston library for my classes. However, I do travel to other locations if that is convenient for the student.
I look forward to hearing from you!
