I worked for a Canon marketing partner to assist customers to choose and operate digital SLR and compact cameras. I have been an advanced amateur photographer for 15 years, and have a lot of experience with cameras, editing software (Photoshop, LightRoom etc.), and printing.

I can teach beginners the basics of camera selection and operation, and related computer topics (editing and library management software, email, social sites, etc.). With other students, we develop an understanding of the student's goals for photography, and teach those subjects that are directly related. My approach is hands-on demonstration, with some basic theory when it is essential.

I don't claim to be a great artist, but I have won photo contests, and a photography museum exhibited my photographs. Boston's largest newspapers published my opera performance photographs. I can teach elements of composition, light, selective focus, etc.

I could assist you to understand how to use them for photography, including capabilities like: touch-ups, cropping, exposure, color balance, contrast, sharpening, layers, selections, masks, black and white, library management, metadata, and others.

How do I receive a discount?
