Takeyah is an engineer by training, with varying experiences in academia and an entrepreneurial spirit. Those three threads are woven throughout her experiences, so her skills and interests vary widely.
Takeyah began tutoring Mathematics as an undergraduate student at Lincoln University (of PA). Since then, she has taught students through Academic Affairs at the University of Maryland; provided guidance as a private Mathematics and academic success skills tutor in Washington, DC; spent 2 years as an ESL teacher in Japan; and served as an adjunct Mathematics professor in a few colleges in the Washington, DC metropolitan area for over 7 years.
Her curiosity has taken her to more than 16 countries (and counting!) to gain insights on various approaches to living well.
As an entrepreneur, she works with creative women and STEM women (Science, Technology, Engineering + Mathematics) who want to create a sense of equilibrium and attention toward a life and body that looks and feels genuinely well. Running with scissors, natural juice medleys, health coaching, yoga, and even a fulfilling 7-year experience as a Mathematics professor are equal parts of her own health-supportive lifestyle.
