I am a former high school teacher with a Master's degree in English. I graduated with honors and these additional awards: "The National Dean's List," "Who's Who Among Students In American Universities and Colleges," and "Outstanding Young Women of America." Additionally, I was awarded scholarships to Cambridge, England, and to study in Florence, Italy.
After retiring to homeschool my own children, I tutored, and continue to do so, successfully. I specialize in literature, reading, writing, vocabulary-building, grammar, and critical-thinking. I help students understand pieces of literature that they are required to read for classes, help them write papers about literature or other topics, while working with them on grammar, vocabulary, and otherwise enriching their general English skills in all necessary areas. I enjoy building an easy rapport with my students that facilitates learning and a comfortable work environment. I work with students of middle school age up to and including adulthood.
