Hello ESL/EFL Learners
My name is Cassandra, and I've taught EFL (English as a Foreign Language) English classes to children and adults in South Korea for two years and ESL (English as a second language) to adults here in south Florida for three years. The experience abroad was so invaluable that I became TESOL certified through Anaheim University. Living outside of the states has influenced me to be more understanding to those living in a foreign country in which the language and culture differs from that of their home country and to be more sensitive to the varied ways in which learners obtain information. I guess it's safe to say that I've developed a special place in my heart for those whom are living in South Florida and aren't able to adjust to the lifestyle of America due to communication barriers.
As I've mentioned before, I've lived in South Korea for two years. I completely understand the culture shocks, frustrations and feelings of hopelessness one may encounter for lack of knowing the language fluently. I am confident that my skills and enthusiasm to tutor you could make your stay in the United States less stressful and more productive. I look forward to hearing from you.
