I am a natural teacher with a passion for helping others to excel academically. Since high school, I have been involved in informally tutoring whoever sat near me, as I was frequently able to rephrase information so that the other students could understand. I finished an AA degree in 2006 and worked for a year tutoring a 3rd grader and a 9th grader full-time. During that year, they both made tremendous progress as I tailored an educational program to encourage their strengths and build up their weaknesses. I have experience working with pre-k through 3rd grade in all subject areas, and have tutored Spanish at the college level. I see tutoring as a challenge to discover why a student is struggling and to give that student the tools they need to succeed and to flourish in all their studies.
