I am a graduate of The Florida State University where I majored in Criminology and earned a 3.3 final GPA. I have always been a natural learner and thinker so teaching comes easy to me, however, my strength is the weakness of many others. I understand how important education is for success, and I also understand that everyone's thirst for knowledge and their abilities to learn vary from person-to-person.
I believe that learning and the ability to learn is based on those who teach abilities to adjust to their subjects and show various ways of learning. There is not one set way of learning. Unfortunately, most teachers are only prepared to and capable of teaching one way. I believe it is important to adapt teaching to the personality and learning capabilities of your student in order to engage them and maximize their learning potential. Patience, care, and resilience are the emotional keys to learning success in conjunction with a foundation in fundamentals, practice, and hard work. I am here to provide and encourage all of the above.
I have worked with children as young as five to adults over fifty years old and feel very comfortable in my abilities to engage, inspire, and teach effectively through communication and relating to all personality types and learning abilities.
