I'm a wife, mother of four, grandmother of four, and a great-grandmother. I am a very caring and patient tutor. Here are just a few of the subjects that I am qualified to teach: Reading Comp., Nutrition, Grammar, Anatomy and other subjects as well. I love to teach students how to write essays and dissertations. I take pride in being professional, as well as having patience and good listening skills. I am a non-smoker, eat healty foods, and I am well organized. I have much experience with reading comprehension. I am eager to help you get better grades and feel better about yourself! I love to motivate and give hope wherever I can. One of my favorite professors once told me that if I kept a good sense of humor, I would always look on the brighter side of life, plus be able to help other's to do the same.
Here is my brief history: At a very young age I was asked by my teacher in high school, "What do you want to be when you graduate?" I said, "I would like to go to college and take many different courses. Mainly, to expand my brain's ability to be able to tackle any job." My teacher laughed at that answer; however, even though I was only 16 when I graduated, I went on to get certified, licensed, and graduated college with a 4.0 average, and with honors as well. In my high school years I earned my school letters which went on my school sweater. In my day this meant you were in the win! The letters were sewn on my school sweater along with my swimming logo. I swam on the school and the AAU Swimming Teams. From elementary school to high school I was a cheerleader. After school I took Tap, Acrobat, and Ballet classes. My parents were very proud of me because I managed to remain organized and committed to my goals. In return I paid my parents back ten-fold by going to college and finishing with honors! I can't think of any day that went by where I was ever bored.
Since retiring from the medical field, I volunteer at my grandson's school. I usually help in specific areas such as... the front office, classroom, or even in the Reading room. I also have helped with the "Special Needs Children." I am familiar with children that are on an IEP and have special Reading and Comprehension problems.
