A current university professor, I have over ten years of experience tutoring all levels of secondary science, mathematics, and humanities. I hold a PhD in cognitive semiotics from Indiana University of PA, as well as degrees from the University of Miami and Florida Atlantic University. I am particularly familiar with curricula in Florida and Pennsylvania, though I have tutored throughout the country and abroad as well. I also have extensive experience tutoring at the college level. As a professor, I have lectured in the United States, Europe, and Asia in subjects such as cognitive science, poetics, and anthropology, giving me a wide range of fields from which to draw; but my true passion is teaching, no matter the subject. Regardless of their level or the subject, I promise my students that they will improve tremendously--and hopefully enjoy themselves doing so. My goal is always maximum clarity combined with a practical approach--rather than merely lecturing, I prefer to have students work side by side with me on problems so that they can leave our session with both maximum retention and ultimate confidence. I also strive to incorporate real-life connections into every tutorial in order to bring otherwise abstract knowledge into the sphere of the everyday.
