I have taught a wide rage of age groups including adults using various educational techniques to help minimize the anxiety and frustration "challenge" sometimes brings to learning. Part of my focus with any student's learning is listening to their needs and addressing where their struggle exists. My strategy toward successful learning is breaking concepts into smaller parts so maximum understanding is done before moving onto additional material. This usually involves drill setting, application understanding and mastery of performance. By doing this a student's self-esteem can be built to take on new challenges. I believe there is a direct relationship between one's self-esteem and success in any subject learned and mastered. To conquer this process, developing an educational plan must be part of the requirement.
My experience covers both the corporate world as well as elementary and high school. I am a state certified teacher in social sciences in middle and high school, as well as a technical trainer teaching productivity software to adults where the cornerstone towards learning is through a hand-on approach. The central focus with all my students is sparking curiosity in the information they receive so their critical and application skills can create unique ways to trigger full conceptual understanding.
I have a BA in psychology from San Jose State University, and a MAEd in secondary education from University of Phoenix. I look forward to teaching and inspiring all students to be great in any subject I cover.
