I taught special education in California for 4 years. I actively worked with ADHD students. I wrote IEP's and also worked closely with our school counselor and psychologists to diagnose students.

I was a basketball coach for 4 years for 7th and 8th grade. I also played basketball in high school. In addition, I coached high school athletics and understand the concepts of drills, applied skills, and game sense.
I have my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education grades K-8. Math is fundamental to a child's education. So many students have math anxiety or miss key skills in their early years that haunt them throughout their education. I pride myself in making math exciting and enjoyable to learn. There are several ways to the end of a problem, and often showing that roadwork, enables a student to find success. I have taught after school math intervention to advanced math and enjoy all components of math. I look forward to helping each student develop their love for math.
I am certified in K-8 elementary education. Phonics and reading are huge components to this degree. I have also taught after-school reading intervention classes. In addition, I have been a special education teacher where phonics is the key to verbal skills, especially in regards to non-verbal students.
I coached high school softball for 3 years. I also played softball for 10 years and was an all state catcher. I am well versed in the rules, game, drills, and techniques required to help someone learn, improve, or move to the next level.

My current position requires the students I teach to have polished skills as they travel and complete as professional tennis players. We have a condensed day, and learning to keep detailed notes, plan ahead for tests, complete assignments on time are crucial components to their success. Getting organized is essential for any student and can decrease stress, test anxiety, and increase productivity and overall grades.
