I have been using Microsoft's Visual Basic (VB) since it first debuted 1993 as Visual Basic 3.0 Professional Edition. At that time I was developing mainly stand-alone desktop applications for use by my small business consulting clients.
I also specialized in using a form of VB called Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) which was basically Microsoft's implementation of a scripting language that was embedded and included in their Office applications like Excel spreadsheets and Access database.
I have continued to use VB through version 6.0, but Microsoft started to transition VB into its ".NET" framework since 2002, and now has pretty much phased out VB 6.0 even though many of us continue to use that version for certain tasks.
I have transitioned to the VB that is incorporated into Visual Studio .NET, and can also tutor you in the "consumer" version called Visual Basic .NET Express Edition (VBE), which can be downloaded for FREE from Microsoft.
I can teach you the basics of the user interface (IDE), writing Functions, designing User Interfaces, Forms, and integrating the .NET Framework, ASP.NET, Visual Basic, and HTML to produce web applications.
VB, especially when used in the .NET framework is a fairly complicated tool, so you will need to dedicate serious time on your own as well in tutoring sessions, to even become a novice, but I can help you if you so choose! Good Luck!
I have been building web sites for many years, using HTML, PHP, scripting, layout, tables, css style sheets, server and/or client side scripting, and linking to databases such as mySQL.
I can also explain and show you how to register your own domain name (I own over 150 domains myself), get a web hosting account (I have accounts with the 3 top hosting providers), and get your own web page online in under an hour!
