For the last 5 years I have worked with high school students on SAT Math. All my students have improved their scores in this subject. My philosophy on Math is "Practice makes perfect." I teach one or more ways to solve each question. I emphasize the importance of speed and accuracy.

I have worked with dozens of students on the writing portion of the SAT. Then I will either rewrite the whole essay for them or critique the essay line by line with them.
In the 5 years since I began tutoring, I have always emphasized the importance of being organized and developing good study skills. I have taught dozens of students from middle school through graduate school including my son Francis, whom I home-schooled through eighth grade. With new students I always emphasize the need to read essays carefully, to underline the actual question in a word problem, and to write outlines of textbook chapters for later review. My students are very well prepared to continue their studies.
I have tutored math for 5 years - algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and arithmetic. The Math subtest of TEAS covers whole numbers, metric conversion, fractions and decimals, algebraic equations, percentages, and ratio/proportion. I work with these math subjects all the time.
I have written articles for technical journals, magazines, and websites. I write a journal entry every day. As part of my SAT tutoring, I review grammar, essay writing, vocabulary, sentence structure and Latin roots with my students.
